Delete your account, from the app
You can delete your ELK Connect account yourself, without writing to anyone: open the app, go to “Profile”, scroll to the bottom and tap “Delete my account”.
The screen shows you exactly what you lose before asking you to confirm, then asks for your password. Deletion is immediate and permanent.
What is erased
Everything that identifies you is erased for good, as soon as you confirm:
- your email address and your phone number
- your first name, last name and country
- your postal address, where a regulator had obliged us to ask for it
- the contents of the SMS received on your ELK numbers
- your registered devices and every open session
- your password and your two-factor settings
What is kept, and why
The accounting record of your payments and usage is kept: amounts, dates, taxes. The law requires us to keep it, and erasing it would make ELK’s accounts retroactively wrong.
That record no longer carries your name, your address or your number: it identifies nobody.
Your numbers, eSIMs and plans
Deleting hands your phone numbers back to the carrier, stops your eSIMs and cancels your active plans. A number handed back cannot be recovered: the screen names each one before you confirm.
If money is left on your account
We do not make anyone’s money disappear. While a balance remains on your ELK Balance, deletion is refused and the app tells you the exact amount.
Spend it, or request a refund from the “Wallet” page, then come back and delete your account.
If you can no longer sign in
Write to us from the Contact page, using the email address of the account concerned. We check that the request really comes from you, then carry out the same deletion.
